5 MYTHS ABOUT TOENAIL FUNGUS




Nail fungus is a common condition that begins as a white or yellow spot under the tip of your fingernail or toenail. As the fungal infection goes deeper, nail fungus may cause your nail to discolor, thicken and crumble at the edge. It can affect several nails but usually not all of them.

Below are the common misconceptions about TOENAIL FUNGUS:

1.       Only dirty people get toenail fungus.
·         At any given time, any Filipinos could be walking around with toenail fungus.

2.       Home remedies for toenail fungus will cure it.
·         We’ve heard various stories that bleach and vinegar can sure toenail fungus.  The reality is that none of these alleged “ remedies for toenail fungal infection” actually work.

3.       Toenail fungus will go away on its own.
·         If left untreated, toenail fungus can spread to your fingernails and skin.  The fungus can weaken the nail bed and cause the toenail to fall off in some cases.

4.       The nail must be removed to get rid of the fungus.
·         Rarely is the toenail ever removed as part of treatment.  The nail serve as a protective layer, keeping germs out of the body, so it’s preferable to keep this line of defense intact.

5.       Toenail fungus can’t be cured.
·         While it is true that it can be difficult to eradicate toenail fungus once and for all, it is absolutely untrue that is uncurable.

How to apply:
1. Cleanse the affected area using FUN.G SOAP and pat to dry.
2. Apply FUNGISOL in the affected area only using cotton buds then spread it.
3. Leave it to dry.
